How About Some Commercials!?

by Paul

Yeah, I’m pretty much running out of steam this week. I’m ready to buy some beers and take a long nap. To get you through your Friday, I’ve got a couple of commercials here for you to enjoy. The first is Japanese and somehow involves the V mini-series/TV Show:

Okay, I have no idea what is going on here. Were blowguns prominent in V? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but I don’t remember any kind of blowgun and I definitly don’t remember that many Japanese kids in the show.

The next commercial I’ve got I picked mainly because Robocop seems kind of popular with my readership. He also seems to be more popular with Japanese families than I thought he was:

Woah, Robocop totally got one hell of a wax job. That’s the shiniest I’ve ever seen him. It’s totally “Show Room Robobcop.”

And who knew Robocop loved fried chicken? I thought it was firmly established in the films that he only ate baby food. Hell, who knew the Japanese ate fried chicken?

I have the feeling that the family prepared for Robocop’s insane, lust fueled invasion of their home by putting in a fake refrigerator, otherwise that was the worst prop fridge I’ve ever seen. Luckily, Robocop’s mad cravings for fried chicken overrode any kind of programming that would tell him that he’d been had.
