As you know, I'm continuing the hunt for great party bags but I should probably also tell you I'm on the case for great statement-making evening jewellery for the party season, and in particular, stunning cocktail rings.
One to catch my eye today is this chunky square ring by Burberry which features a crimson glass gem set in a gunmetal silver-tone band. It would be great for day as well as evening, and at £147, is actually fairly reasonably priced too. You can pick it up at Net-a-Porter.
I've always been a bit of an Abercrombie girl at heart, and this is especially the case in winter as I fall so easily for their cashmere, preppy shirts and cable knit sweaters.
Right now, I'm lusting after these adorable striped cable knit scarves (the grey one in particular) and know the wool blend knit would do its utmost to keep my neck and chin super toasty ('cause let's face it, I'm going to be snuggling right into this baby!)
£50 may seem like a lot to fork out for a scarf - especially when you can pick up Abercrombie for less in the US - but if you think you'll treasure it as much as I would, then that may actually seem like a bargain to you anyway *wink*.
It's possibly a bit unfair to chuck this particular ponyskin Maia hobo by Jimmy Choo in this week's Yay or Nay slot, because right off the bat, there will be many of you who can't get on board with the blue and white zebra print. You might want to look beyond that though, in order to judge the bag on other merits or fallbacks. The shape of the bag itself is a debatable point - do you like the square zipped-up state versus the unzipped slouchy style? And the wooden handles - you wouldn't be able to slip these easily over your shoulder, however there is a long, detachable shoulder strap which solves that problem. And finally, finally, there is the blue zebra print - fun or foul? Vote below!
This fawn-colored clutch at number 16 makes an excellent unexpected neutral and looks so soft! A detachable wristlet and studs make the Stuart Weitzman Flex Bownight wristlet, on sale for $175.99, extra stylish.
London's fashion girls-on-the-scene Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Jaime Winstone popped in to the new Swarovski Crystallized Store & Lounge recently to get their sparkle on by customising their own bespoke jewellery.
The store alone is worth a visit, with stacks of drawers filled to the brim with crystals and semi-precious stones for you to play and get creative with.
Watch Vogue TV's mini-film of the girls getting decked out in their creations here, and then make sure you call in to the store on 24 Great Marlborough Street, London W1.
Still stuck for a pretty bag or clutch to wear to your Christmas party? Don't worry my dears, I will be bringing you more party bags every day over the coming weeks until you won't want to see another party bag ever again. Well, actually...hopefully looking at pretty bags won't be that unbearable.
Here is one for the more kooky among us - or even just those who like to have something a lil' different. This funky hexagonal hard case clutch with a diamante clasp and detachable chain strap is the perfect size for lippy/keys/debit card/cab fare - but you won't be able to fit much more in I'm afraid. It's available in both the pewter shade pictured and a vibrant ruby red and is currently on sale for £20 at Faith.
Ahhh Christmas shopping - don't you just love it? Surprisingly, I'm not even being sarcastic here either, as I've decided I'm not even going to attempt to battle the crowds in Oxford Street this year and will end up doing all - or most - of my shopping online.
Whether you're looking for something for your BFF, your mother-in-law or for that person who you just have no clue what to get, then a gorgeous leather wallet like the ones above will always go down a treat (believe me, I'd be VERY happy if one of these was sitting under the tree). They're both available online at Net-a-Porter and so the question now is... which one?! They're both equally amazing in my eyes...
