Recently had the opportunity to dig around
in an antique dealer's storage room. $10 seemed
a great deal for an entire medium-sized box
marked POSTCARDS. The lid was heavily taped,
so I didn't bother checking the contents. & what
did it contain? Well over 1000 postcard copies
of this "superb view" of the Grande Rounde River
along US Hwy 30 in Oregon. If I have your address,
don't be surprised if you find one in your mail slot
someday.

Brooklyn Penny Cone

I have heard of buyer's remorse,
but is there such a thing as seller's remorse?

I recently sold this great little pamphlet that
was distributed by the Consolidated Wafer Co.
back in the 1920s.

I kind of regret it.

Finally Found One

At a recent vintage paper show a collector showed me an amazing little handmade book with eight or so woven paper pattern designs like the one above. He was inquiring whether I had anything like it for sale; I said no & added that if I found anything like his book, it was the type of thing that would go straight into my own collection. His information was vague & I havn't pursued any research myself, but apparantly this type of thing was a common school project for children, or so he told me. Needless to say, I was super excited when I dug this one out of the basment of a house up in Seattle over the weekend.
