Collectors Quest celebrates Black History with The Museum of Uncut Funk, who have shared a wide assortment of interesting collectibles which depict important African Americans: Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., and Muhammad Ali, among many others. You can learn more about these famous figures from Black History at Biography.com. Jackie Robinson on a stamp, Michael Jackson animation cels, and drawings made by Ali himself only scratch the surface of the unique black history collectibles featured here.

This year, Black History Month celebrates the 50th anniversary of The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, during which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Black History Month honors the many achievements made by African-Americans: the fight for civil rights, breaking through social barriers to make amazing accomplishments in every field, and bettering human progress in general. This celebration began as "Negro History Week", organized to mark the birthdays of both Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln, and maintained with the hope that a separate celebration would not be necessary in the future, once black history and American history became one and the same.
