about me I have a fascination and passion for nostalgic glamour. Inspired by the unique creations from a bye-gone era, from the saucy to the sophisticated, from the elegant to the erotic. "Every woman is unique, we share the same desire to express our own sense of beauty and style, to find balance in our life, to feel appreciated, to truly shine . . . thats why I have launched my on-line vintage boudoir www.pixxi.com where my collections of vintage lingerie and accessories can be purchased.
about my collections I collect exquisite feminine boudoir pieces, glamour that would not have been out of place on stage and screen in Hollywood. C1920's through to 1960's and occasionally 70's. I am truly inspired by the silk night gowns of the 30's and 40's with their fluidity, sensuality and made to measure quality. . . The workmanship, handmade lace and attention to detail is a marvel and is absent from the modern lingerie today, you didn't have 'off the peg' in those days. Constrictions and restrictions of foundation underwear such as girdles and corsets back in the 30's and 40's to the bullet bra of the 50's, even baby dolls of the 60's show us how fashion and the female form have progressed over the years. Now all these items are quite readily accepted as fashion garments and not necessarily as underwear but outerwear, club-wear or indeed fetish.
