I think that the Depression (30's) caused my parents to be savers, collectors and ragbaggers. Nothing was discarded and everything was shared and a lot of the things I collect now are things I could never have as a child. Collecting is very cathartic for me and it is for the love of the object rather than for the monetary value. I have a hard time selling my things, I usually share them with my children and friends. So needless to say I don't always have a lot of $$$, but I do have great joy at seeing other people treasure my things... About my collections: 1950's circa children's toys, games, dolls, wagons, riding horses, furniture. Primative furniture, horse tack and saddles, cowboy boots, hats, guns and photos. Silver and turquoise jewelry, anything South Western. Black/white photography, 1940's - 1960's. Too much more to list... About my interests: Dogs and motorcycles, Harleys, to be sure. Jack K. road trips along with Indian Larry (may he R.I.P.) and Peter Fonda in Sturgis.
