about me My name is Jason and I live in Fl. My main passion is collecting militaria. When I'm not trying to obtain a new piece for my collection you can find me watching the military history channel or reruns of "Combat!". I'm also pretty big on fine cigars, import/craft beers and martial arts. At the beginning of the year I launched my own Militaria site. "Last Stand Militaria" Providing a safe place for beginning and seasoned collectors to buy authentic WWII militaria.
about my collections I mainly collect militaria from WWII but I also have Korean War items as well. I tend like the German pieces more but I don't limit myself to one country. I have a pretty extensive collection of US pieces consisting of uniforms, medals, helmets, patches, photos and field gear. My German pieces would include flags, field gear, medals, ceremonial daggers, swords and photos. I am currently working on putting together a pre-war photo album of the SA/Brown Shirts(German Stormtroopers).
my interests Growing up I always liked history. It was my favorite class in school. When I got a little older I started becoming very interested in military history especially WWII and Korea. I would watch every documentary I could find about them. My grandfather served during the Korean War so that made me want to learn more about it. I asked my grandmother if we had any family members that served in WWII and to my surprise we had a couple. I found out what I could about them and she even had some of their military pieces. That kick started my collection then. Years later I decided that I wanted own a piece of history. I bought a bayonet. Which turned into two bayonets. Which turned into helmets and uniforms and eventually snowballed into what I have today. I've been hooked ever since.
