This is the first US postage stamp to feature dinosaurs. It is from 1970 and is meant to celebrate the American Museum of Natural History. The image is taken from the Jurassic part of the famous Rudolph Zalinger mural at the Yale Peabody Museum. The mural is in part responsible for the stereotype of dinosaurs as slow, stupid animals.
