The Smithsoinians are, indeed, quite expensive., They are pure bronze. Anthying done is bronze is pretty pricey these days. See commented item

These are sculpts of the Zallinger sea creatures from the famed painting. This particular group were created by artist Jeff Johnson who I believe made the original molds to these and the Zallinger dinosaur diorama which were sold comercially for some time. Each piece is a single diorama piece and they link together to create the one large diorama scene. I think they are long Out of Production but some can still be found from companies that specialize in resins. Joe

  • My absolute favorite item in the collecting field of dinosauria is Chialu prehistorics from the 1950's. It took me many many years to compile a complete set. My collecting interests are diverse but I mainly am attracted to items from the 1950's and 60's as well as those produced in Europe. As you can see, I have an affliction for collecting things in sets especialldy items considered vintage in nature.
