Vintage, MID-CENTURY, Extremely Rare, Hilkka Liisa Ahola, Small, Pottery, Luster Bowl

Made by
Hilkka Liisa Ahola for Arabia of Finland.

Marked on base "H-L.A. Arabia"

This bowl was made during the late 1940's or early 1950's.

The Luster finish on this piece is subdued but given its size going a little bit understated on the finish, in combination with the bright & vivid array of color was an excellent choice. When
the light hits the bowl just right you can see the "oil on water", luster characteristic of the hand applied gloss and, put quite simply, it really makes the colors "POP".

This lovely bowl really is a stunning combination of bold colors and unique design. It measures 3 1/2" wide x 2" tall. It is in absolutely fantastic condition with no chips, or cracks.

This is a very rare item. Very few of these were made for Arabia of Finland and fewer still have survived the 60 or so years since they were first made.

If you are a pottery, enthusiast, a serious collector of the genre, an interior designer/decorator or just someone who truly appreciates fine craftsmanship and unique design then this is a piece that you don't want to miss out on. How amazing would it be for you to be one of the handful of folks that actually own one of these little beauties?
