I searched for books specifically addressing characters not in the Lion King movies and these two were the biggest hits. Friends In Need doesn't have any new characters, but it shows Mufasa and Sarabi as younger lions. Again, I love anything with Sarabi in it. The Brightest Star is told by Mufasa of his grandfather Mohatu. Both books are fantastic reads!
