I know it is ment to be a hyena, but i agree that it looks in between an African Wild dog and hyena, i saw many spotted version of this model, that is why i know.
Those Chinese manufacturers are not exactly accurate most of the time.

This is an African wild dog, not a hyena. Look at the big ears, the shape of the head, the fact that all four legs are the same length (no sloping back like hyenas have).
