M1 Combat Helmet ID‘d: This is a late war example, which consists of a plastic liner and manganese shell. The shell retains about 95% of its original paint and cork texture. It has a rear seam and swivel bales to which light od webbed chinstraps are sewn on. The straps have a few small stains to them. The J-hook and retaining clip are in perfect working order. The liner is a high-pressure model produced by “International Molded Plastics Incorporated”. The interior features the olive drab cotton suspension system with riveted on A-washers. On two of the straps the name “LEAR” is written. The sweatband and original leather chinstrap are still very pliable. The liner retains about 98% of its original paint. This is an excellent M1 helmet in untouched conditio
