it is lightly stamped: "US" on the front and has maker marks on the back.The back reads as follows: "Cover, Canteen, Dismounted(some numbers at the end which are hard to read and then)Stock No., Collete Mfc. Co. 1952". The back has the "hook" style attachment for a web belt.
