Top Ten Highest Selling Pro Bowl QB Sports Memorabilia

This week, the rosters for the 2013 Pro Bowl were announced. Most of the names listed for the six quarterback slots (two starters, four backups) are old hands at the Pro Bowl game, while other names are newcomers to the roster. To commemorate the announcement, I figured I’d take a quick peek and see how the Pro Bowl QBs from this year (and a few more from last year) are faring in the world of sports memorabilia. Here, then, are the highest selling collectibles found online for the last ten quarterbacks named in the NFL Pro Bowl!

Sports Memorabilia: Equipment trading card10. Matt Schaub – 2011 National Treasures Shield Logo Patch 1/1 Card – $550

Despite having been named to the Pro Bowl for the second time with this season’s selection, not to mention leading the Houston Texans, the team with the NFL’s third-best record right now, Schaub brings up the rear in terms of memorabilia value—despite being the only player on this list in this year’s Pro Bowl who didn’t crack the top half. There are probably a few reasons for this collectible commanding the relatively low (but still more money than I’ve got to spend) price of $550. Even though it’s autographed and features a game-worn patch from Schaub’s uniform, it’s not graded, and it’s from this year. Schaub was drafted way back in 2004, so I expect a rookie card would make a much bigger splash. But of course, Schaub took a bit of time to get to his current level of play, so they’re probably tough to find considering he wasn’t such a hot property back then. Keep your eyes peeled for Schaub stuff, especially if the Texans go far in the playoffs.
