Thanks Deanna! The one in the link is totally outdated - I love it! I would appreciate it if you do get to scan more images, but of course I understand if it is not possible without damaging the book - I will have to keep my eye out for that book at local antique shops!

Dino Collector, it does! I believe the link in the article (to out-of-date science and knowledge) shows at least one. :) I'll see if I can get some better images of the pages and put them up in the community -- but I don't want to scan if it ruins the binding.

I love out of date science and knowledge! One of the ideas about why dinosaurs were not as pervasive in pop culture at the turn of the last century as they are today is because animals like the giraffe were just as new to the public - and the giraffe is a bizarre living animal - much cooler than bizarre old dead bones. Now that we take giraffes for granted, dinosaurs are more captivating because there is still so little known about them. I am curious if Earth, Sea and Sky Or Marvels of the Universe contains any information about dinosaurs or other prehistoric animals.

Collin, if/when we both get the time (insert hearty laugh here), we should compare notes on our titles... I wonder if we have any in common?

Oh, and are you saying that I shouldn't be using those childrearing books? ;)

I'm also a huge fan of those bizarre, ancient ethnocentric anthropology books that treat, well, anthropology very similarly to zoology. Also, books that wax poetic about child-rearing at the turn of the century - they had some really bizarre ideas and remedies.
