Does anyone know how much the disney resort monorail with golden gate bridge set is worth? i have checked Ebay but no one has it and I can’t find a site that would carry it?

Hi Lulu, is there a copyright year marked anywhere on the train? I’m no Disney expert, but I might, if I know the year, be able to find the name of the train set and from there ability for you to research current sales prices.

Hi everyone!
I am desperately seeking something that will tell me how much this train set that I have is worth. Its just like the pooh one listed about, only its mickey, the rides are different, (mostly rides that are at disney world!) and the track is yellow. I can’t find this on EBay, or any other collector sites. Anyone know anything about this set? I have almost a dozen disney figures with it, quite a few rides, and the engine is battery operated. When the engine comes up on a ride, it seems that it stops and the wheels spin to activate the ride??

Oh yeah, and if you love the Disney park replicas, check out the Monorail playsets, most retired about 5 years ago. The rides are functional and hook directly to the tracks of your Monorail. Coolest playset by Diz ever.

Susan, I have that train set, but I’m trying to find the characters for sale somewhere online. The train cars say “Disneyland” on the sides. On the bottoms of the amusement park rides is imprinted the letters “MAC AU”. The bottoms of the yellow track pieces have “Walt Disney Productions” on them. There are four gear-operated rides; ferris wheel, paddle boat, merry-go-round, airplanes. There are little railroad crossing gates that direct the train. The engine is blue and yellow with the name “Mickey Mouse” on it. The characters are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and the 3 Little Pigs, but I only have Daisy. Hope this helps.

Shatzie, I’m sure it’s worth ’something’, but we’ve all recommended eBay or other online sales sites for ideas of prices.

Susan, I suggest searching online and asking your local antique shops to keep an eye out for you. My daughter had one of those sets; but we’ve long since recycled that to another family with youngsters. It was/is an adorable toy!

I am trying to locate a Disneyland Play Set. This is a set I bought in 1988 that had 36 pieces. It had a battery operated train that ran on a four looped orange track. It had Disney characters that rode on the train and had little rides that the train powered when it went past them. Do you have any idea of where I can find one?

Joe, I’ve not seen them at antique shops myself, but they should be showing up soon — 20 years is moving into the collectible area for certain. (But don’t rule out thrift shops & online outlets either.)
