Hi Felicia, thanks for the interest. We found our best bargains at 'boot sales', like our flea markets so see if you can find any of those. Most of the antique shops we went into had one or two owners and if they were in, would gladly negotiate. Not a great discount, but as you know, anything helps, with our dollar as it is. We also went to an auction and found some nice items reasonably priced. Also some very expensive pieces which were unusual and probably worth it, but we had not studied enough on silver and some of the 'very English' pieces. You might want to start by doing some research - on the net perhaps. Not sure of your purpose either. Are you a 'dealer', or are the treasures for you to keep? That matters a great deal. At the auction, we did not read the info closely and when we went to pay found a 3 pound per item fee! Since several things we bought were only 7-10 pounds, that was a shocker. We are not used to that much of a fee, at least at the auctions we attend. We understand that the closer to a big city you go, the higher the prices, which is fairly common in the mid-west too, but not always. We stayed in the Cotswolds and found some wonderful hunting. Sure wish we were going along...wishing you a delightful and successful trip - would love to hear the end result. Val
